# DCMotor-HAT for the Raspberry

Now that the Yocto-image for my Raspberry Pi is done we can get serious. The first step is to setup the Adafruit DCMotor-Hat[1] which I am using. It was actually pretty easy setting everything up, because I just had to port the Adafruit Python Library to C and enable i2c. I am using this HAT, because we rebuilt it in Uni two semesters ago:

To enable i2c on your Raspberry at boot time just do this:

touch /etc/modules # will create it if it does not exist
echo i2c-dev > etc/modules

That’s basically it. Now just reboot your Pi, compile the code[2] and run it. Webm related.
